“I try so hard to disappear, then I complain about how invisible I am.”

October 1, 2009

“Came home. Felt like shit. Threw up. Is anyone surprised? ‘I try so hard to disappear, then I complain about how invisible I am.’ First thought when I got to school today. Fading away takes time. I’ll be thin. I don’t care if I die. I want to be a skeleton. Fuck. It’s cold.”

Out of curiosity, what does my blog post have to do with this blog?

And I really don’t get it.. what is this blog about? >.<

My blog is a commonplace book: a collection of (usually short) passages of writing that strike me as interesting, in style and topic. (Visit the home page of the blog and you’ll find a definition of “commonplace book.”)

Now, to answer your first question: What you write saddens me, but I thought you expressed your sentiments with great clarity and force. That is why I added your paragraph to my commonplace book.

If you would prefer that I delete the entry from my blog, of course I respect your wishes.

Please take care. With best regards,
    Mark

Nope, I don’t mind at all. =) I’m flattered that someone thinks my writing is good enough to quote.
